pcActivity Acceptable Use Policy
pcActivity helps companies manage their own work PCs openly: activity insights, fair daily scores, and IT support that admins approve. This policy applies to every company that uses pcActivity. It is part of our terms.
1. Your responsibilities as the employer
- Tell your employees. Before you install the agent, tell them in writing that pcActivity is used, what it records, why, and who can see it. Our privacy policy lists exactly what it records.
- Have a lawful basis. Follow the employment, privacy and monitoring laws that apply to you and your employees. Where the law requires it, get consent or consult employee representatives.
- Company devices only. Install the agent only on PCs your company owns or manages for work.
- Keep access tight. Give remote access and AI Support only to people who need them. Use roles and the authenticator code.
2. Not allowed
- Monitoring anyone who isn't your employee or contractor, or any personal device, without that person's clear, informed consent.
- Hiding pcActivity from the people it records, or using it to spy on anyone.
- Using remote access or AI Support on a PC without your company's authorization, or as a support service for consumers or the public.
- Using pcActivity to harass, discriminate against or unlawfully track anyone, or to collect data the law protects without a legal basis.
- Attacking, overloading or reverse-engineering the service, or reselling it without our written permission.
3. Remote access and AI Support
- Remote features are off until your company turns them on. Each session can require a reason and an authenticator code, and every session is logged.
- Steps that change a PC wait until an authorized admin approves them on the approval card. Nothing runs on its own.
- You can show employees a notification bar with a Stop button while a session runs. We recommend it.
4. Reporting and enforcement
Report misuse to [email protected]. If we believe this policy is being broken, we may suspend remote features or the account while we look into it, and we may end the account if the breach is serious.
